Every substantive question is put through an explicit test: what would a reasonable observer accept as
disconfirmation, and what evidence would have to appear for that observer to change their mind. Where the
stakes are high, we use multiple independent models to argue the question from different starting
positions, and we keep the disagreements visible rather than averaging them away.
We are a small operation by design. Work is done in the open when doing so improves the work, and kept
private when doing so protects the people or systems it touches. We do not offer services, take on
external mandates, or accept unsolicited pitches.
Research on this site is staged across an explicit evidential pyramid, from pre-registration through
to public-facing explainer, with a status tag and last-updated date on every object.
